This week we had an introduction into a sampler plugin called TX16Wx by CIWTEC, it is a sampler plugin that is not to dissimilar to the built in sampler in Logic Pro X. The mission is to record an instrument in is natural key range and for each note to include 4 velocities and then load into the sampler for use in our final presentation.

We had previously been given drum samples to work with by our lecturer to create our Drum Sampler instrument. I had this up and running but noticed something wrong with the pitching which I could not fix. I decided rather than wasting time trying to fix it I would load the samples into the built in sampler plugin in Logic Pro X, this worked straight away and was able to trigger the midi at the correct pitch using the loaded samples, now onto recording my instrument – a clarinet..!!!
