This week we discovered Filters in Max 7 using the following commands

lores~ a resonant lowpass filter that allows all the lower frequencies through based on its inout frequency

reson~ a resonant bandpass filter which allows a region of certain frequencies to pass through

A filter is a way of controlling which frequencies are allowed through for any given audio frequency range, they work by passing or attenuating some frequency ranges dependant on the input control.
