Ok so today’s post is mostly about the day I have had, I started work again on the written element of my Radio Production Module. It started quite well; I managed to get quite a bit written in between attending to my special needs son Llew, coughing and having to be suctioned to remove his secretions, this is a typical daily occurrence but today seemed to be more than usual.

I carry on till about 4pm and I just cannot concentrate, so I go and sit with Llew and watch Monsters Inc. Unusually for him he just does not seem himself, coughing a bit and not reacting to his favourite film.

So it’s about six o’clock in the evening, and I notice Llew is getting a bit tired, but then I also notice his lip twitching, a sign of him having a seizure. When these start we have to concentrate on timing, his breathing and his consciousness, thankfully the seizure only lasted just over five minutes, and he recovered. Well, that’s what we thought, it’s now a quarter to seven, and I’m just about to take him upstairs to get ready for bed. I notice him starting to have a seizure again, this time we have to give him a rescue medicine which does stop the seizure for good, but then we have to be a bit more aware of his saturation levels. Thankfully he does not need to go to the hospital, which if he had another seizure, then he would have.

So, there we go so much for me being able to concentrate on a written assignment, I will endeavour to get it completed, but it will never be my best work.
